Getting started

Restaurants: opening on this site

1. Become a restaurant memberRegister, then apply for restaurant membership.
2. Install the mobile appGet the Reasoning Dining app from the downloads page.
3. Sign inIn the app choose to connect to this site and sign in with your member account.
4. Create a restaurantEnter the name, address, currency and default language, then initialise: the app sets up a default menu and area.
5. Enter dishesPick from the dish library or add your own; check each allergen.
6. Print QR codesSet up tables, generate a QR code for each and put the printed codes on the tables.

Restaurants: using your own website

1. Install the connectorInstall and activate the Reasoning Dining connector on your own WordPress site. This is the only manual step.
2. Create an application passwordUnder Users › Profile in WordPress, create an application password for an administrator.
3. Connect with the appEnter the site address, the administrator’s user name and the application password in the app. The app installs the e-menu plugin through the connector.
4. The rest is the sameCreating a restaurant, entering dishes and printing QR codes work as on this site.
5. Join the network (optional)Enter the dish library’s address in the plugin settings to import dishes; register with the dish library to be listed in the directory.

Suppliers

1. Become a supplier memberRegister, then apply for supplier membership.
2. List your catalogueMaintain it with the Supply Service Site plugin on your own site, or have this site list it for you (see the supplier desk).
3. Match ingredient codesUse the ingredient library’s codes for ingredient entries so that restaurants’ needs match automatically.
4. Read demand and quoteEnter the dish library’s address on your supply site, read the needs of registered restaurants and prepare quotes.
