Levels and benefits
Membership has three levels: registered, restaurant and supplier. The benefits of each are those published on the membership plans page. We may adjust the benefits; changes that are unfavourable to a paying member take effect only after that member’s current term ends.
Accounts
A restaurant or supplier membership is used and managed by the person the restaurant or company designates, and the account holder is responsible for what is done under the account. Accounts may not be transferred, rented out or shared outside the restaurant or company. The mobile app signs in with an application password; keep it as carefully as the account password — it can be revoked in the account at any time.
Fees, term and renewal
Fees and term are those agreed when the membership is activated. [Renewal: we notify you before expiry and renew on confirmation and payment.] Price changes do not affect a term already paid for. Payment: [bank transfer / online payment]. Invoices: [how they are issued].
Refunds
[Refund rule, e.g.: a full refund may be requested within 7 days of payment if no restaurant has been created and no catalogue listed on this site; otherwise no refund is given and the membership runs to the end of the term.] Send refund requests through the contact page.
Permitted use of data and materials
- public dish and ingredient data may be searched, browsed and imported into your own menu; conditions for bulk retrieval, mirroring and redistribution are under Copyright and licence;
- member materials and the priced supply catalogue are for the member’s own use (within the restaurant or company) and may not be resold, published or passed to third parties without written permission;
- prices and supply terms in the catalogue belong to the supplier who listed them and may not be used for purposes unrelated to purchasing;
- parts of the data that come from third-party public sources are also subject to the licence terms of the original source.
Your restaurant data
The restaurants, dishes, menus and orders a restaurant member creates on this site belong to that member. We store and process them only to provide the service and do not sell them to third parties. Where you contribute dishes to the dish library, what is accepted becomes a public record. After a membership ends, the data of its restaurants is kept for [period] for export and then deleted. [how to export]
Nature of the data and limitation of liability
The nature of the data on this site is set out in the disclaimer: allergen, ingredient and nutrition information in the dish library is a reference label, and a restaurant is responsible for what its own menu declares to guests. This site is not a party to transactions between restaurants and suppliers. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions made using the membership services or their consequences, and our liability is limited to the fees you actually paid for the service concerned in the preceding [12 months].
Food information and compliance
Providing food information to guests, allergens included, is an obligation a restaurant bears under the law where it operates. This site provides tools to record and display that information; it does not discharge the obligation for the restaurant. Members must ensure that their use of the site complies with the law that applies to them; we may refuse or end service to anyone we are legally barred from serving.
Termination
You can cancel your membership at any time through the contact page, and you can delete your account on the account page. We may suspend or end the membership of anyone who breaches this agreement or the terms of use; fees paid are not refunded where a membership is ended for breach.
Changes and governing law
We may amend this agreement; the amended version is published on this page and paying members are notified by email. This agreement is governed by [governing law]; disputes are subject to [court or arbitral body].
